Who in this world does not want fresh, youthful, glowing, free of wrinkles skin? But another question is Is this even possible to desire for such skin?

Yes,Yoga is the answer to all these questions,facial yoga helps making your facial muscles stronger  and toned ,which gets weak by the passage of time and also improves blood circulation of the skin. 

Some people have more facial expressions ,like they respond more to any situations through their expressions and more likely to get the facial lines ,a person cannot control this but can go for the facial yoga which can release the tension from face.

Yoga is the best therapy you can do to your body and for which you will be thankful to yourself later.
Following facial exercises can be done at least 5 times a day to get the maximum benefit.

1.Kiss Ceiling Exercise

This exercise helps you in reducing double chin and strengthen the muscles of neck.

How to do 

  • Give pose of kissing the ceiling.
  • Hold this facial yoga pose for 5-8 seconds
  • Repeat this pose 5 to 10 times a day.

2. Air Puffing Exercise

This exercise gives the toning of facial muscles and natural lifting of face.

How to do

  • Blow air in your mouth towards right  cheeks and hold this position for 10 seconds.
  • Now shift the air to the left cheek .
  • Hold this pose for another 10 seconds.
  • Repeat this exercise 5 to 10 times  a day.

3.Fish Face Exercise

This exercise gives you the defined face by reducing flabbiness and gives you toned jawline.

  • Suck inner cheeks in the space between your teeth .
  • Hold it for 5 seconds to as long as it is painless.
  • Repeat this exercise to 10 to 20 times a day.

4.Stick your tongue out or Lion Pose

This pose is good for your thyroid glands in your neck area and also circulates the blood to your face.

How to do

  • Kneel down and Place your hands on your thighs.
  • Inhale deeply and on exhale bring your tongue out as much as you can pointing towards your chin  with wide opening of your mouth and eyes should also be widely open and make sound like roaring of a lion.
  • Repeat this yoga pose for 5 times a day.

5.Press areas with your hands where you feel lines on face

This pose will release the tension on your face , by doing this you are training your forehead muscles

How to do

If you have lines above your one eyebrow

Eyebrow raiser

  • Relax your chest and with open chest put your 4 fingers above your eyebrows and pull one side up which you feel down and one side down which you feel up.
  • There should not be wrinkles between your eyes and open your eyes as wide as possible for 10 seconds and meanwhile you may see movement of your eyebrows so even out both the side of the eyes with your hands which you feel coming up or down during gazing up

If you have droopiness on the outer part of your eyelid

Exercise for droopiness of eyes

  • Thumbs close to your ears and with your 4 fingers on the area above where you see the droopiness(outer part of your eyelid) lift your forehead up 
  • There should not be any wrinkles on the forehead .
  • Hold this posture for 10 seconds.

If you have droopiness on the inner part of your eyelid

Exercise for droopiness of eyes
  • Thumbs on the top of your head and with your 1 or 4 fingers on the area above where you see the droopiness (inner part of your eyelid) lift your forehead up .
  • There should not be any wrinkles on the forehead .
  • Hold this posture for 10 seconds.

There are many facial yoga poses which can also be done in moderation without applying too much stress or strain on your facial muscles ,over doing facial yoga might give you pain.Bringing Yoga in your daily regime shows result in a week or two and works on your complexion ,improves collagen and tone your facial muscles.


Facial yoga is advisable if your don't have any skin disease or problem ,seek advice from the doctor before doing it.
